The Season of Prayer

The Season of Prayer is here! It's so exciting!! The first day of the season was on Wednesday, the 12th of September. It will be till 2nd October.. 21 days in all. I went to church yesterday to pray with the rest of the members.. Indeed, God spoke to us, and pointed out some points we should take note of..

1. Unity: God wants unity in our prayers, in our activities, in everything that we do. With one voice we cry out, with one voice we praise.. He desires greater unity within our church.

2. War: More wars will break out soon. Not surprising.. as the 2nd coming of Christ is approaching.

As recorded in Matthew 24:3 "As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. "Tell us," they said, "when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?" Jesus answered, "Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ, and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains."

The Bible, the Word of truth, not only tells of the past, the present, but also the future. The intensity, the frequency of earthquakes, wars and famines that have happened in recent years are proof that the Bible is the Word of Truth.

3. Purity: During this season of prayer, God wants to purge sin from us.

4. Busyness: God says in Psalm 46:10 "Be still, and know that I am God". God wants us to be still before Him and listen to Him speaking into our hearts. Be like Mary, and not Martha who was so caught up in serving God rather than listening to Him speak and enjoying His presence.

That's all folks!
