Thank You

Hey dear brothers and sisters in Christ.. Thank you all for your prayers and encouragement! And to all, including my dear friend Po Zhu whom I've known for nearly 14 years now.. Thank you for the official sent-off at the airport and the beautiful gifts! And thank you to all my friends.. for taking the time to meet up before I left. =)

It is due to all your prayers that I've settled in ever-so comfortably. God heard your prayers (and mine) and sent me brothers and sisters to fellowship with every Sunday and Wednesday (cellgroup), gave me new friends, a roomy room.. not-too-bad food, an amazing timetable that gives me thursdays and fridays off!!! A sound-proof music room to practise violin in, a *potential* violin teacher (someone's helping me ask), fresh air (really really fresh), the list goes on and on.

Above all, thank God for being who He is-- A God who answers prayers. As God says in 1 Peter 3:12, "For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer". (Thank God that we are made righteous in His sight by simply believing that He died on the Cross for our sins. We are righteous not by our own good deeds, but solely by His grace.) And in 1 John 5:14, "This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us." Also, in Philippians 4:6, He says, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."

God is always faithful. He heard. He answered and He blessed. Because He loves.

The Lord my God is just so good.

When I say, "I am a Christian",
I'm not shouting, "I'm clean living'.
I'm whispering, "I was lost, now I'm found & forgiven".

When I say, "I am a Christian",
I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.

When I say, "I am a Christian",
I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak & need His strength to carry on.

When I say, "I am a Christian",
I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed,
And need God to clean my mess.

When I say, "I am a Christian",
I'm not claiming to be perfect.
My flaws are far too visible.
But, God believes I am worth it.

When I say, "I am a Christian",
I still feel the sting of pain.
I have my share of heartaches,
So I call upon His name.

When I say, "I am a Christian",
I'm not holier than you.
I'm just a simple sinner
Who received God's grace, somehow! (and so can you!)
