Day 2 - A Revival of Signs and Wonders

"...tell John... that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, the poor have the gospel preached to them..." Luke 7:22-23

God seems to package revival in such a way as to attract only those who are desperate for Him. The hungry are somehow able to see what God is doing through strange new circumstances, rather than judging by outward appearances. When people are expecting God to bring revival in the way they have known in the past but it actually comes in a totally different form, it seems easy for them to reject it. It is sad that they keep waiting for something else to come along when something new is already happening. In the days ahead we will see many of the same miracles that accompanied Jesus, and these signs and wonders will also be too many and too diverse to be recorded.

Take from "Living in the Glory Every Day" - David Herzog

My thoughts: Mark 16:17-18, "And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

Acts 14:3, "So Paul and Barnabas spent considerable time there, speaking boldly for the Lord, who confirmed the message of his grace by enabling them to perform signs and wonders."

Romans 15:18-19, "I will not venture to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me in leading the Gentiles to obey God by what I have said and done— by the power of signs and wonders, through the power of the Spirit of God. So from Jerusalem all the way around to Illyricum, I have fully proclaimed the gospel of Christ."

The gospel is power - Romans 1:16. Signs and wonders indeed follow those who believe! May we see a restoration of the things the first church experienced!
